Following a key theme in 2021, according to trend forecasting company WGSN in 2022 while prioritising a sense of tranquillity and wellbeing, colour will imbue interior spaces with muted sophistication.
Two key interior looks are warmed neutrals updating minimalist designs; and exploring surface dimension using deep textural shades. Both themes are easily achieved when specifying styles and colours from the new Floor Architecture II collection.
Mid-tone greys gain subtle complexity, to become a core neutral hue in 2022. Greys are known as a perfect neutral: they can be soft and warm or support a cooler-toned industrial look or style.
In Floor Architecture II, colour Mix (53597) adds a warmth to the interior, whether teamed with gold, beige, and brown tones, or combined with accent colours such as Rosewood, Blossom or Blush shades. While the stony tones offered by colour Anthracite (53555) work beautifully with blues for a cooler toned overall scheme.
Choose Marble (53100) in style Fragment (5T453) for a soft pale grey aesthetic, and this lighter tone also brings in a high LRV (25.9) rating for your interior scheme.
Complex greys can easily transition between seasons and are key to creating a warm and inviting minimalist aesthetic. Varying the tint, tone and shade of grey used in a space, you can create depth and focus.
Black remains a compelling hue, lending intrigue and allure to walls and floors, furniture, a nd tableware. Near-black hues and tinted darks are a key look for 2022 creating mystery. While the classic combination of grey, black tones and white, offer a timeless and luxurious feel with a modern edge.
Choose Granite (53500) to provide a near-black aesthetic that also offers intrigue in style Stone (5T454) suggests EMEA Design Manager Kerry Deffley. Complement or combine this with Houndstooth in colour Merino or Identity in colour Fog from our Haven and Suited collections, see Palette 1.
The selection of key furniture pieces providing sooty shades in varying materials enhances the overall textural effect that is key for styling compelling interior spaces.
We chose some signature items from UK-based manufacturer Morgan Furniture in our photoshoot for this collection. We paired both styles Stone and Fragment in colour Chromite (53580) with the subtle dark tones offered in Morgan Furniture’s Chevy and Rio tables.
While the soft grey upholstery textile used on both the Lugano and Oslo chairs layer in a warmer tonal grey look adding textural complexity, which we combined with our installations of Fragment in Azurite (53485) and Stone in Granite (53500).
