The client is a global giant that offers a vast range of bespoke financial products and solutions. The existing facility in the HITEC city was running short and a much bigger office was needed to accommodate its growing workforce.

The company took up a much bigger and permanent new four-floored building in the Salarpuria Sattva Knowledge City in Hyderabad. The new space comprised one lakh sq. ft. across four floors and was an attractive professional opportunity for any interior design firm.

Design Framework

ThoughtPlay Lab, a reputed Bangalore-based design firm, bagged the mandate to design the interiors for the raw space from the ground up.

The brief to ThoughtPlay Lab was to create an interior environment that reflected the client’s global sweep and core ideals that define its corporate personality. Beyond this, the new facility had to facilitate collaboration, integrated flexibility, sustainability, and wellness.

Executing the vision

The team from ThoughtPlay Lab re-imagined the whole white space as a globalised environment that took the occupants on a journey across India.

The interior design had themes ranging from the Himalayas to Mughal architecture, to the bucolic fields of Punjab, to the step wells of Rajasthan, and the endless infinity of a beach.

The layout and pathways were designed in a manner that allowed unhindered access across work zones, conference rooms, private zones, cafeterias, and other community spaces. 

Beyond visual elements

The thematic representation was not just in the visual elements but in the layered design. The objective was to transform the entire space into an organic, collaborative, and flexible working environment. Biophilic elements like plants, smart lighting, and LEED-certified materials intuitively fulfilled the sustainability objectives.

Net result: Complete with modern aesthetics and state-of-the-art functionality, the client’s new office serves as a powerful engine to deliver services to its partner offices across the world.

The size and style of the new facility live up to the client’s reputation as a world-leading financial powerhouse and serve as a magnet to attract new talent.
