TAQA’s Office Renovation by KPS
TAQA, known officially as Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC, is a significant player in power generation and water desalination in the GCC. To support its growth, TAQA embarked on a major renovation project for its headquarters, executed by KPS.
The renovation included the overhaul of two floors and the addition of a new floor, introducing 110 closed offices, 4-5 meeting rooms per floor, and open-plan workspaces with over 100 workstations. A standout feature was the new 25th-floor reception, enhancing the building's welcome experience.
Central to the project's vision was the creation of a workspace that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also promoted wellbeing and environmental sustainability. KPS selected the Shifting Field collection for the flooring, opting for the style plains and Landing Edge in the colour Reservoir, combined with the style landing in colour Remote. This choice was instrumental in creating seamless transitions and a sense of direction within the office, particularly in the alleys and meeting rooms. The materials used are Indoor Air Comfort gold® certified and cradle to cradle® bronze certified, underscoring the commitment to a healthy and sustainable work environment.
The project was a success, meeting TAQA's high expectations in both the renovation process and the final outcome. The new office design promotes flexibility, sustainability, and employee wellbeing, aligning with TAQA's future growth. The TAQA office renovation by KPS represents a forward-thinking approach to workplace design, balancing aesthetics with environmental and health standards.
