At Shaw Contract, we believe we have responsibility to each other and to our habitat, to people & planet.
To celebrate this Global Volunteer Month in April, and as part of Shaw Contract’s commitment to People and Planet, members from our Shaw Contract Greater China will be joining colleagues from around the world to give back to our local communities.
Our team members from both the Shanghai marketing team and the Nantong plant participated in an English teaching program at a local middle school.
This opportunity invites over 50 children of migrant workers to the class and encourages them to talk in English directly with native speakers, which can help them build confidence and grow strong.
Shaw Contract, Robarts Spaces and Amity Foundation together launched the "Build Dream with Heart" project, which aims at helping children with intellectual disabilities in Kunshan to live normally and set sail for their dreams.
The project will provide professional counselling, rehabilitation training, psychological support, and other services to intellectual disabled children and adolescents, which can help the children and their family to better integrate into the society and build confidence, so as to ease their burden and improve life quality.
