New Headquarters of Market Harborough Building Society
Since 1870, Market Harborough Building Society, a trusted provider of mortgages and savings solutions for over a century and a half, has been owned by its members and has been owned by its members and have continued to evolve and innovate. When selecting products for their new headquarters, a crucial consideration was the use of UK manufactured and readily available in stock products.
From a design perspective, the aim was to create a natural and calming colour scheme for the workspace floors to appeal to all tastes, whilst ensuring design intent was not sacrificed. Shaw Contract Floor Architecture III carpet tile collection: Formation Colours provided just that, with a selection of green and blue tones that were selected to be paired with other choices such as furniture and decoration, while adding a light geometric pattern detail to give the flooring personality.
The design team paired these carpet tile choices with the Nordic LVT range across both working floors to ensure that, although there is a separate colour scheme per floor, the LVT ties both spaces together.
In the Engine Room (boardroom) and the Heritage Lounge (business lounge), bold and rich textures were used to elevate and create an impactful and luxurious aesthetic. The Haven carpet tile collection was a perfect selection, with a mixture of Honest and Familiar planks combined to create a bespoke pattern for these areas.
