OTP Bank, a leading company in the Hungarian banking sector, and one of the oldest, wanted to expand its Budapest headquarters. Our ComfortWorx™ backing solution on carpet tiles from our Haven and Living Systems collection were specified for this exciting project.

The new building was built adjoining the existing headquarters and reflects minimalist design, fitting harmoniously in its context. Important considerations were functionality, zoning, environmental requirements and solar orientation.

The collaboration spaces were inspired by nature and have different themes to help orientation in the office. Located throughout each of the floors and are designed for flexibility, with movable, colourful furniture that can be reconfigured, custom-made wallpapers, and planting to help enhance productivity.

To provide for both augmented acoustic and underfoot comfort in these areas, carpet tiles in style Familiar in colours Truffle and Mint on ComfortWorx backing, and Observe in colour Fragile Coral and Endless tiles in Optimitic colour on ComfortWorx backing have been installed. ComfortWorx backing provides a solution for improved impact noise reduction and sound absorption along with the ergonomic benefits of underfoot comfort.

The office offers various amenities such as a restaurant, bistro, work café, co-working space and numerous collaboration spaces, along with indoor and outdoor gardens.

Blurring boundaries between the exterior - interior and bringing biophilia into everyday life was one of the main design strategies.

This focus on health and wellbeing was also a key element the need for occupant comfort, along with the desire to support human connection.

Through the biophilic design approach and the integration of new dynamic spaces, a new era has come in the company’s life providing unique experience to the staff every day.
