Case study: Kindred and Dye Lab
Revitalised Morgan Lovell office embodies new ways of working
Bracknell, United Kingdom
Refreshed Berkshire office puts wellbeing and sustainability before anything else: Morgan Lovell workspace was not only a creative challenge but also a true reflection of their brand and ethos. The office is led by beautiful design, practicality and impeccable attention to detail.
Working with the vision of a showroom in mind, the creative team wanted the new space to inspire new clients and give them a detailed insight into how they operate.
Diversity and inclusion were key themes of the project and were the basis of many of the design decisions. Shaw Contract Kindred collection was selected to anchor the open plan workspace with a neutral colour scheme and natural texture. Designed to evoke feeling and personal connection, Kindred carpet complimented the space celebrating the symbiosis between technological and organic forms, steering away from potentially overbearing signs and colour schemes. The textured wave design pattern of the Dream style evokes a sense of tranquillity and familiarity across the office plan.
Shaw Contract Kindred and Dye Lab collections are both Cradle-to-Cradle® certified, Indoor Air Comfort Gold® certified, carbon neutral and align with the WELL and BREEAM standards. Morgan Lovell creative team not only delivered excellent results with eco-consciousness, sustainability and wellbeing in mind but also thought about future: both carpet tile collections are part of our re[TURN]™ Reclamation Programme and at the end of its life can be returned for free in the UK and closed loop recycled at the end of their life back into carpet tile. Recent expansion of the Shaw re[TURN]™ scheme for flooring also offers a route for these carpet tiles to be re-used supporting the most vulnerable in the community through Salvation Army Trading Company (SATCoL) Flooring Partnership.
The Morgan Lovell Bracknell project devoted to achieving excellent environmental and sustainability credentials, including SKA Gold, to ensure that the new workplace benefits not only the people who occupy it, but also the environment in which it is set. Thanks to the implementation of modern technology, environmentally friendly products and inspired design features, a beautiful and forward-thinking workplace was created that will support the ever-changing needs and grow as time goes on.
