Designing an Out-of-This-World Office Space for Digantara Creating an office space for a cutting-edge space tech company like Digantara required an innovative approach that would reflect the pioneering spirit of the organization while fostering an environment of creativity and collaboration. As designers, we embarked on a mission to blend the essence of space exploration with premium, modern aesthetics to craft a workplace that is not only functional but also inspiring Concept and Vision From the outset, our vision was to encapsulate the infinite possibilities and vastness of space within the confines of an office environment. We wanted every corner of Digantara’s office to echo the excitement and grandeur of space exploration. Our design aimed to marry high-tech elements with sleek, premium finishes to create a space that is both futuristic and inviting. Designing Digantara’s office space, we aligned with the company's 'People Together, Planet Forever' ambitions, integrating principles of Material Health, Circular Economy, Carbon Impact, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to create a future-ready workspace. Material Health: We prioritized the use of non-toxic, sustainable materials to ensure a healthy environment. Furniture and finishes were selected based on their low VOC emissions, promoting better air quality and overall well-being for employees. Circular Economy: Embracing a circular economy approach, we incorporated recycled and upcycled materials wherever possible. Modular furniture was chosen for its longevity and adaptability, reducing waste and allowing for easy reconfiguration as the company grows. Carbon Impact: To minimize carbon footprint, we installed energy-efficient lighting, HVAC systems, and solar panels. We also incorporated green walls and indoor plants, which not only enhance air quality but also create a calming, nature-inspired ambiance. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Our design included accessible workstations and communal areas to ensure inclusivity. We created a variety of collaborative spaces and private pods to cater to different working styles and needs, fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration among all employees. By integrating these elements, Digantara’s office stands as a testament to the company's commitment to sustainability and inclusivity, creating a healthy, inspiring, and equitable work environment for everyone.
