Project Description

Hill’s Pet Nutrition decided to move their headquarters to Kansas City from Topeka in 2023. They desired a state of the art, pet friendly, employee first environment that embodied their sustainability goals as a company. The Employee & Pet experience was at the forefront of every decision made during planning, design, and construction. This project will be the first Well Platinum certified project in the State of Kansas, and is also LEED Gold Certified. Sustainability was first in mind during all material and furniture specification and during construction as well. There are unique pet-first amenities such as an outdoor and several indoor dog parks, nutritious “treat yourself” snack stations in every break room, pet water stations, dog beds in every collaboration space, dog leash clips throughout the entire space, a paw wash station, and unique gated solutions for containing your furry friends at your workstation. Employees have a variety of workspaces, lounges, and privacy rooms for flexible working styles, large natural daylight filled break room spaces with plenty of food and beverage options available, plants throughout providing some soft green space moments, and a game room for moments to play! The Hill’s Pet Nutrition headquarters renovation participated in the Shaw Contract Reclamation program by removing the existing carpet, bundling each different carpet type to send to Shaw for recycling.
