Descripción del Proyecto

At Arcadis IBI Group, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, our focus is on maximizing our impact aimed at improving quality of life. The solutions we develop for our clients address important societal challenges around resilience, places, and mobility. We applied this approach by combining physical and virtual elements, allowing individuals the freedom to choose where and how they work. Alongside this innovative concept, the selection of design materials was a crucial consideration to ensure sustainability, inclusivity, and environmental consciousness. When designing our new flexible hybrid workplace, one of the primary concerns was material health. This involved selecting materials that are free from harmful chemicals, ensuring the well-being of individuals using the space. By prioritizing materials with low or no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and sustainable certifications, such as Cradle to Cradle, the workplace promotes a healthier and more productive environment for all users. Furthermore, the circular economy plays a significant role in the design of a flexible hybrid workplace. Our design embraces circular design principles by using materials that are renewable, recyclable, or compostable. Selecting furniture, fixtures, and finishes that can be easily disassembled, repaired, or repurposed, our workplace contributes to reducing waste and minimizing its environmental impact. Incorporating materials with high recycled content also supports the circular economy by reducing resource consumption and the overall impact to the planet. At Arcadis IBI Group, reducing our carbon footprint is another crucial aspect of designing a sustainable and flexible hybrid workplace. Opting for materials with a low carbon footprint, such as those made from renewable resources or with a reduced energy-intensive production process, we can significantly contribute to mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, we incorporated energy-efficient lighting, HVAC systems, and smart technologies to further minimize energy consumption and promote sustainability in the workplace. Arcadis IBI Group is committed to creating a culture where everyone has an equal opportunity to grow, develop, succeed and be their truest self. We hold each other accountable to create and contribute to an inclusive culture, which includes a focus on increasing gender representation and diversity across the entire organization. This involves creating an environment that is accessible to individuals of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs. By incorporating universal design principles we ensured that the space accommodates everyone, regardless of age, gender, mobility, or sensory requirements. Providing ergonomic furniture, adjustable work points, and accessible facilities enhances the inclusivity of the workplace, enabling all individuals to work comfortably and productively. We embed sustainability across everything we do and apply our wealth of expertise and skills to deliver client solutions that are competitive, resilient, effective, and within planetary boundaries. We feel our new hybrid workplace design embodies our core principles and values, providing an energized environment for our staff and clients alike.
