Descripción del Proyecto

This impressive 44,000 SF workplace design caters to the unique needs of Clayco’s growing enterprise. Serving as a flexible office space for a construction firm, a design firm, and a developer, featuring private and open offices, along with various enclosed and open collaboration areas. The project team designed a tailored single-floor office with diverse features to accommodate growth. The entrance showcases a sculptural wall of construction materials, embodying their collective identity. The employee lounge offers panoramic views of Camelback Mountain, creating an inspiring backdrop to limitless possibilities. The expandable café area is versatile for hosting events and makerspace/mock-up areas foster innovation. A spacious training room, resource library, 3D print station, and VR room enhance capabilities. These amenities inspire both social interaction and offer moments of relaxation, contributing to a forward-thinking workspace. The use of high-end and warm-toned materials through distinctive detailing reflects the character of the Southwest region and its inhabitants. Balancing aesthetics and purpose, the design seamlessly integrates with the environment, fostering an immersive hospitality-infused atmosphere. Numerous collaboration areas support choice, comfort, and function – encouraging teams’ creativity and versatility. Both formal and informal meeting rooms are evenly dispersed throughout the space – offering both casual lounge furniture and traditional conferencing to address any type of meeting. The expansive floor plan provides panoramic views of adjacent mountain ranges, creating a serene and inspiring work environment; enhancing productivity and well-being, emphasizing the beauty that surrounds the workspace. The space is an interactive showroom, granting the ability to guide their clients through firsthand experiences of each design element's functionality and appearance, facilitating valuable insights on pricing and seamless integration into their projects. Beyond a showroom, the project fosters collaboration, innovation, and creativity—a space for transformative experiences. By arranging the plan into neighborhoods, each have their own color story and assigned building material with corresponding graphic wallcovering of a particular Arizona mountain range. This is diagrammed in a provided floor plan image. Teams take pride and celebrate their areas while it also serves as a functional wayfinding tool. While the neighborhoods celebrate different color stories and materials, primary applications through lighting, floor finishes, and ceiling elements remain consistent to maintain a cohesive design. The resulting design is a breathtaking workplace that effectively reflects the company's identities while providing employees with a functional and comfortable place to work. With hybrid and remote-work challenges impacting our industry, this client’s workplace has the authenticity and cultural foundational experiences that have employees voluntarily coming into the office every day. The earmarks of success. This project is centered on reflecting the values of the Clayco enterprise, which embody a commitment to sustainability. A focus on material health yielded the decision to exclude luxury vinyl tile from the entire project, instead choosing to install high-density core hardwood flooring throughout the public spaces. This specific product is sustainably sourced and manufactured in the USA, as well as comprised of 50% post-industrial recycled content. In addition to eliminating PVC and other harmful ingredients, all the carpet tile within the project is certified Cradle to Cradle or Carbon Neutral. Additionally, the design team collaborated with the Enterprise to curate an art collection reflective of Clayco’s core value to celebrate and provide an engaging, equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment. After selecting pieces that complimented the design from the founder’s personal collection, the team worked with a local art curator to interview multiple artists to commission two murals that are meant to reflect the collaborative spirit and individual personalities that contribute to the overall company. This resulted in a diverse collection featuring local artists of many backgrounds, including indigenous artists from nearby reservations.
