프로젝트 소개

The Ministry of Tourism Office project in Riyadh has positively impacted both people and the planet through the power of design. The design venture of this project aimed to align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and create a workspace that caters to the needs of a large number of employees and visitors. In terms of overall design intent, the project drew inspiration from the concept of "Wanderlust" to celebrate the 13 regions of Saudi Arabia. The design elements reflected the influence of regions, culture, heritage, resources, terrain, and other points of interest. By using creative design elements and a palette of textures and colors, the space was transformed into an environment that motivates movement, communication, and collaboration. This design intent positively impacts people by cultivating new connections and opportunities. The project also prioritized sustainability through the consideration of the four People Together Planet Forever ambitions: Material Health, Circular Economy, Carbon Impact, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Locally sourced materials were utilized wherever possible, such as Saudi limestone, rich textured fabrics, carpets, and warm timber veneers. This approach reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation and supports the local economy. Additionally, the design incorporated elements of the circular economy by repurposing off-cuts from the CNC cut encasement as a colored cascading curtain, celebrating sustainability and minimizing waste. Furthermore, The strategic use of biophilia, particularly in Building B, created a connection with the natural world, improved indoor air quality, and enhanced the well-being of occupants. The project also embraced diversity, equity, and inclusion by creating an open and agile workplace environment. The transformation from a traditional, hierarchical work culture to a collaborative and inclusive space fosters a sense of belonging and equal opportunity for all employees. This approach promotes diversity and inclusivity, empowering individuals and ensuring a positive impact on people's well-being. In summary, the Ministry of Tourism Office project in Riyadh positively impacts people and the planet through the power of design. The design intent celebrates the regions of Saudi Arabia and creates an environment that fosters excitement, collaboration, and movement. The project incorporates sustainable practices through locally sourced materials, circular economy principles, and low-carbon solutions. Additionally, the design promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring a workspace that empowers individuals and promotes well-being.
